In Erin Callahan's words, "Corpsey’s Cheap Chillers is a queer, campy, modern take on hosted late-nite horror movie shows like Elvira’s Movie Macabre". An indie visual horror anthology that Troy H. Gardner put together with almost zero budget and a lot of heart. You can watch the whole thing here, and in case you like it (spoiler: it's "bloody" fun! 😂), you can buy the digital download version with lots of extras here. Or, you know, you can simply read Troy's interview and learn what it takes to make an indie feature-length film...

Shealea wrote an awfully useful (and detailed) post about free/cheap bookish resources. There's something for every kind of reader in there!

All the Positives with Negative Reviews (think piece/discussion post) - by Rivka
I'm always looking for cheap, legal ways to read books! Books are so expensive. I'll have to check that post out.
ReplyDeleteI hope it will help you!
DeleteAll piracy is bad. It's amazing that this topic pops up over and over again.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention...people who sell ARCs?!?
DeleteNice links!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I do my best 😉.
DeleteI'll definitely check out the cheap places for books. I mostly get books from NetGalley, newsletters from authors, giveaways, contests and the occasional blog that wants me to guest post a review for them.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find more stuff thanks to that site list.
DeleteThank you for the link to the SFF by AOC post. I've bookmarked it for future reading!
ReplyDeleteIt's a very thorough list, isn't it?
DeleteI haven't seen Shealea's list, I'm going to have to read it I'm tired of having the same conversation over and over again on twitter!
ReplyDeleteOh my...people just don't want to understand simple concepts sometimes...
DeleteFree and cheap? I have to take a look at that :D
ReplyDeleteHaha, I bet 😉.
DeleteThanks for sharing these! I'm off to go visit a couple of them right now. :-)
