Tell Me Something Tuesday (Partial) Round-Up (November 2025)

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Heidi at Rainy Day Ramblings in order to discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging (and some slightly more personal matters throw in for good measure). After Heidi stopped blogging (apparently for good), five of us took over as hosts while providing new questions. The current team is composed of Berls at Because Reading Is Better Than Real LifeJen at That's What I'm Talking AboutKaren at For What It's WorthLinda at Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell and Roberta at Offbeat YA. This week's question is... This time I'm doing a partial round-up of the last month's worth of questions, because I hate how I've been M.I.A. when it comes to the meme! (I'll tackle the last November question on its own on the appointed day).

November 2025 Round-Up
+ Question of the Day:
ARE YOU AN EARLY BIRD OR A NIGHT OWL?

  • November 4th: Where do you purchase the majority of your books?
I use two Italian sites that also offer a nice selection of books in English. I like that I can buy cash-on-delivery from them, so I'm not forced to use a credit card...I'm a tad paranoid about that.

  • November 11th: What's a piece of advice you'd give to your younger self?
OK, just one? Because I have too many to count. Never set foot in a radio station - and believe me, that choice alone will change the WHOLE trajectory of your life for the better. Become a hairdresser so you can have complete control on what to do with your hair 😂, because a time will come when getting a decent perm will be next to impossible. Otherwise, consider a career in library science, or something that has to do with computers, or...simply apply to become a warehouse worker at the cozy pharmacy near home with the nice staff, instead of paying tons of money for an education that you'll never put to use. You think you need to work in a creative field and are convinced that routine would be the death of your soul, but girl, you have it backwards. You need a safe space where the unexpected can't reach you (or hardly can), and as for creativity, you'll open a blog one day and write reviews that few people will read (though a small number of authors will sing your praises, also for your proof/beta-reading abilities), but at any rate, it will be the only outlet you'll need - not to mention, you'll do it out of love, not because it's required of you, so it will never become a burden...

If only one could know ahead of time...

  • November 18th: Are you an early bird or a night owl? (a question I submitted)
I'm going to be completely honest...I HATE getting up early with a passion. In an ideal world, I would never have to set foot out of the door until the PM hours 😂. As for being a night owl...not exactly, but I fare much better with staying up late than with waking up before 8/9 AM.

Well, that's it for now. Did you enjoy this post? Would you like to participate in the meme on a regular or semi-regular basis, and get emailed the prompt list? Just head over here and fill in Jen's form! (Of course, you can jump in anytime you like - you are under no obligation to actually do all the posts, or even most of them, just because you signed up, and you can remove yourself from the list at any time). And if you're interested in participating in a more casual manner, or only in commenting, here is the TMST prompt list for the rest of November and the month of December:

  • November 25th: Which books are you looking forward to reading this winter? (December-February)
  • December 2nd: What underrated books or authors would you recommend? (a question I submitted)
  • December 9th: Which superpower do you wish you had? (a question I submitted)
  • December 16th: Have you been disappointed by the end of a series? If so, did you read that author again?
  • December 23rd: What's a song that always makes you want to dance?
  • December 30th: What are your favorite books/audiobooks that you read in 2025?

I'll be back for the meme on November 25th, with a list of all the winter books that caught my eye!

Now tell me something...do you prefer to wake up early or to stay up late?

  1. I used to be an early bird, but as I've gotten older, my habit has changed. I'm much happier staying up late.

    1. At least you don't crash into bed when the dark comes! You can still deem yourself young LOL.

Welcome to Offbeat YA! I love hearing from you and always - I mean always - acknowledge your comments. This used to be a full democracy place, because anyone could comment, regardless of being a registered member of any community. Unfortunately, I had to turn off the Anonymous comment option, because I was getting too much spam that didn't get filtered. So, you’ll need to have a Google account (Gmail will suffice) in order to comment. Sorry about that. Anyway, jump right in! Come on, you know you want to...😉 And be sure to leave a link!
BTW...I don't care if a post is a million months old - you comment, I respond. And you make my day 😃.
Note: this is an award/tag free blog. Sorry I can't accept nominations due to lack of time.
