It's been three days and I still haven't recovered. After two years and eight months of blogging (and participating in giveaways), I FINALLY WON A BOOK. (Excuse my caps...not bragging...just broadcasting emotions). Not a physical copy, since I'm in Italy and they rarely get here (if ever)...but
Allison & Tick |
Now, I haven't started on the book yet, and you may think this sad confession is slightly inconsistent with my enthusiasm. But since I have to read Tick on my PC, this slows things down a little. Also, I didn't want this weekend to pass without me posting a small update of my doings. Also, I have to tackle my Summer Blogger Promo Tour posts (as a matter of fact, I wrote the first one, but there are still six to go!) Also, I was at work yesterday 15 to 19, and this very morning 8 to 11. Also, I have a house to take care of. *gulps*
And...you see...there's this distracting tool called Twitter.
I've learned that, if I want to get any blog & blog-related work done, I HAVE TO CLOSE THE DARN TAB. And in case I don't, STOP DISCUSSING SUPERNATURAL TRIVIA WITH TESSA FROM CRAZY FOR YA. But I still think the first option is the safer...
"Hahaha...shut up" [Thanks to Giphy!] |
OK, I'm going to get some of that work done now. I'll review Tick as soon as I can, plus I have a couple of other reviews in the pipeline...I'll make amends for a very slow June by some exciting stuff coming in July and August! (That's why I joined the SBPT...it forces me to tend to my blog during these wearisome months LOL).
HAPPY SUMMER!

Ha, it's actually a good thing I have no internet access at home. I get lots of reading done as a result. But then scheduling is a big deal. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the book! :)
The pros and cons! Though I have to admit I get a nice bit of my blogging and blogging-related work...at work ;D.
DeleteThanks - expect a review soon!
I am really not sorry about our Supernatural discussions. You are the only blogger that I have found so far with such an interest in the series and is willing to discuss all the time.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to read your review! It is so exciting that you won a book. I enter giveaways all of the time, and I have yet to win one.
Happy reading!
It's odd, because many bloggers use Supernatural gifs and mention the show among their favourites...but I suppose they aren't as interested as us in discussing it ;).
DeleteNow that I've won a book, it's your turn! *crossing fingers*
Oh Twitter - it's SO distracting! I have a smaller sidebar Twitter window on my computer so it's constantly updating and pulling me away from whatever I'm trying to get done. I should close it but...it calls to me lol
ReplyDeleteCongrats on winning Tick! I've only one 2 giveaways in all these years.
I STILL have to write my BEA food post. Maybe today I'll go wild and upload my photos today. Stage 1!
Karen @For What It's Worth
We have to take a drastic course of action and CLOSE it. LOL.
DeleteOnly two? Wow, and I thought I was unlucky!
I can't believe you're not dying to make us all envious...erm, share all those yummy pics with us! ;)
Oh wow! Soo happy you won that book! Enjoy reading it! :) x
ReplyDeleteThank you! Glad you were finally able to comment :).
DeleteCongratulations!!! Hope the book is good!
ReplyDeleteTwitter is so distracting! But so is tv... I'm currently obsessed with Orange is the New Black. But the Hubs built us pretty new computer desks and I'm planning on tackling Camp NaNo in July... so less tv time, and more reading/writing!
Good luck with the Camp! Also...congrats on the Hubs ;).
DeleteWow, it seems like you're really busy! And you're so lucky to live in Italy - I can't wait to go there. :D Loved the little SBPT shoutout in your post, and congrats on winning your first book! :D (We host plenty of physical book giveaways on The Book Bratz that are international. You should enter it sometime! ;) -Jessica
ReplyDeleteLOL, I did notice that. Maybe you could be my second lucky spot when it comes to winning ;).
DeleteI hope you'll have the chance to visit Italy one day. As a matter of fact, me and Veronika from The Regal Critiques are going to do a double interview for the SBPT in which we highlight some aspects of our countries, since we are the only bloggers in the tour who are both European and from a non-English-speaking country. Needless to say, our post is highly recommended! ;)
Congratulations on winning a book! This is the first that I've heard of it and it sounds really good. I may have to check it out! Twitter is definitely distracting; I agree. I'll be looking forward to your thoughts on Tick. I'm a new follower; I love your blog!
ReplyDeleteKrystianna @ Downright Dystopian
Thank you! Since you love dystopian (how did I guess? LOL), I'm sure Tick will fit your bill :). I haven't had the time to review it yet, but I plan on doing it soon!
